Palm Alley
The alley of palm trees gives a special charm to the Batumi coastline; they can be considered the most characteristic trees and plants for the boulevard landscape. Many types of palm trees grow on the boulevard territory: Date palms, Coconut palms, Washington palms, Chamaerops, and others. Palm trees are cared for according to the season. To protect them from winter winds and frosts, the boulevard landscaping staff tie up and wrap the palm trees, and in the summer they free them from unnecessary branches. General information: The palm tree belongs to the family of monocotyledonous plants, the main species is characterized by woody stems. Their large family includes 185 genera and about 3,400 species. Palm trees are mainly common in tropical and subtropical countries.
