Fountains of the Boulevard

In 1977, three colorful fountains were installed at the main entrance to the boulevard by the joint efforts of the prominent Georgian architect Giorgi Erkomaishvili and Armenian engineers. The area soon became the busiest part of the boulevard. In 2007, the fountain underwent a large-scale reconstruction, and today it rhythmically fills the environment of the boulevard with music. The musical fountain, surrounded by wax statues of the "Boys with Fife", is one of the most attractive places for tourists. Following the traditions of the old boulevard, the new boulevard has many attractions. A French dancing fountain, installed on Ardagan Lake, offers visitors a spectacle decorated with holograms. A special area is equipped on the territory, where tourists can watch the impressive show. In addition to modern fountains, you will also find fountains in a classical style on Batumi Boulevard. At the entrance from Demetre Tavdadebuli  Street there is a classical style fountain built in 1934. The fountain basin is located in a square shaded by tall fir trees and osmanthus trees. In recent years, new sculptures have been added to the fountain, making it even more attractive. Later, statues depicting the four seasons of the year were placed around the fountain basin. These statues have no author. As is known, they are Italian copies of high artistic value. The Fountain Square is distinguished by its special coziness. Here you can often meet couples in love, mothers with babies or people who love solitude.
